Creating Components

STEP 1
Cut two 9-1/2 inch lengths of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
STEP 2
Mix Devcon® 5-Minute® Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Spread a small amount of epoxy in a 16.5x9.5mm flame setting drop and on the back of a 14mm flame flatback rhinestone. Press the rhinestone into the setting and set aside to cure.

Repeat to create a total of three flame drops.
STEP 3
Use 6x4mm oval jumprings to connect the flame drops created in Step 2 to the bottom loops of a 23x19mm open lotus link.
STEP 4
String the following onto a 1-1/2 inch eyepin: one 3mm sunflower bicone, one fireopal 4mm bicone and one sunflower 3mm bicone. Create a simple loop.

Repeat to create a total of four beaded links.
STEP 5
String the following onto a 1-1/2 inch eyepin then create a simple loop:
  • One sunflower 3mm bicone
  • One fireopal 4mm bicone
  • One 12x7mm lotus bead
  • One sunflower 3mm bicone
Repeat to create a second beaded lotus link.
STEP 6
String onto the length of beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp, then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.
STEP 7
String two 5x2mm silver-plated brass tubes onto the beading wire then string three sets of the following:
  • One sunflower 3mm bicone
  • One fireopal 4mm bicone
  • One sunflower 3mm bicone
  • Five 5x2mm silver-plated tubes
STEP 8
String one sunflower 3mm bicone, one fireopal 4mm bicone and one sunflower 3mm bicone then complete the beaded strand by repeating Step 6.
STEP 9
Repeat Steps 6 - 8 to create a second beaded strand.

Assembling the Necklace

STEP 10
Use 6x4mm jumprings to connect the following sequence of components:
  • Outer petal of the lotus focal component created in Step 3
  • One beaded link
  • One 14x11mm lotus link
  • One beaded link
  • One beaded lotus link
  • One beaded strand
  • One half of a toggle clasp
Repeat on the opposite side of the lotus focal component to complete the second half of the necklace.

Earrings

STEP 1
Mix Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions. Spread a small amount of epoxy in a 16.5x9.5mm flame setting drop and on the back of a 14mm flame flat back. Press the rhinestone into the setting and set aside to cure.

Repeat to create a second flame drop.
STEP 2
String the following onto a 1-1/2 inch eyepin then create a simple loop:
  • One sunflower 3mm bicone
  • One fireopal 4mm bicone
  • One 12x7mm lotus bead
  • One sunflower 3mm bicone
Repeat to create a second beaded lotus link.
STEP 3
Use 6x4mm jumprings to connect the following sequence of components:
  • One flame drop
  • One 14x11mm lotus link
  • One beaded lotus link
  • One earstud
Repeat to create a second earring.
