Describe your artistic style. Fun, and girly and pretty and my passion.
What inspires you as a designer-artist? I look at the beads in my local shop and see what they tell me, sometimes, I am inspired by my clothes when looking for the perfect accessory too.
What materials do you most enjoy working with? Chain and beads together, I love making charm bracelets.
What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story? The Answering Machine
What inspired this design? The beads in front of me, I loved the smiley face bells.
How did it come together? It takes a bit of planning to make sure that the beads and charms are distributed evenly. I have done this specific design before so it is something that comes mostly naturally.

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading? I started doing beading as a charity project, it started with one breast cancer awareness bangle for my Aunt who is a survivor in 2009 and snow balled, I still make my jewellery for charity, I LOVE doing it. It's my creative outlet in my very mundane everyday life, I feel accomplished when I make a finished piece.

What other hobbies do you have? Reading and gaming.

If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry? I do make money but 99.9% of it goes to the Breast Health foundation in South Africa, My website is http://pinkpenguinjewellery.wordpress.com/ I also sell jewellery at the annual Breast Health Walks.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists? Have the right tools, do not use a tool box pliers and wire cutters for your beading, the right tools make all the difference.
