Summer Night Necklace

  • Bead, Czech, pearl beige, 3mm cut (E)
  • Seed bead, Czech, silver-lined brown, size 10 (B)
  • Seed bead, Czech, pearl milk, size 10 (C)
  • Seed bead, Toho, milk pearl, size 11 (A)

 Work five ribbons of petals in C, E (Fig. 1). Connect the last petal to the first one (Fig. 2). Add some B beads between the beads of the petals (Fig. 2) and pull on the thread to shape the petals. Fix the thread tail but do not cut it off as you will need it later.

 Work five ribbons of petals in C, E (Fig. 3). Connect the last petal to the first one (Fig. 4). Add some B beads between the beads of the petal (Fig. 4) and pull on the thread. Fix the thread tail but do not cut it off as you will need it later.

 Work five ribbons of petals in C, E (Fig. 5). Connect the last petal to the first one (Fig. 6). Add some B, E beads between the beads of the petal (Fig. 6) and pull on the thread. Fix the thread tail but do not cut it off as you will need it later.

 Attach a pearl bead in the middle of each flower (Fig. 7). Use a 7mm bead for Flower 1, an 8mm bead for Flower 2, and a 10mm bead for Flower 3. Bead around these pearl beads, using B first and then combine it with A (Fig. 8). Fit it on the pearl beads each time to know the exact number of seed beads you need.

 Bead a 9cm rope (Fig. 9a) in A and work a loop on its end (Fig. 9b). Bead one more rope 18cm long (Fig. 9a) in A and attach a 10cm pearl on its end (Fig. 9b). Attach B, E along the edges of your ropes (Fig. 10).

 Connect the flowers going through the side beads of the petals (Fig. 11). Attach the 8cm rope to the upper petal of Flower 1 and the 18cm rope to the petal of Flower 3. Work a peyote stitch ribbon in D, B about 20cm long (Fig. 12). Work another ribbon in A, B, C about 16cm long (16cm long (Fig. 13). Attach both ribbons to the ropes (see the photograph).
