STEP 1
Roll a small piece of scrap polymer clay then press it onto a card or other flat work surface. Place the desired flat or slightly curved component onto the piece of polymer clay to keep it level.

Cut the desired image transfer to the approximate size and shape of the component.

Tip: If desired use a die cutter or decorative cutting tool to create a design around the border of the image transfer.
STEP 2
Apply a small amount of Magic-Glos to a finger and spread a very thin layer on the surface of the component. Use a baby wipe or damp cloth to remove excess from your finger.

Notes:
  • After handling Magic-Glos, be sure to wash your hands with soap and water before handling food.
  • If desired, press a very small piece of clay into the hole of the component to keep it open while applying Magic-Glos.
STEP 3
Place the image transfer into a small container of water. Remove the image from the water and allow it to sit for a few seconds. Place the image inside a folded paper towel and blot it slightly.

Slide the film image around on the backing very slightly to verify it has released from the backing. If needed apply additional water until the film is loose.

Note: Do not completely remove it from the backing or it will curly making it difficult to work with.
STEP 4
Slide the edge of the image off the backing then place it into the Magic-Glos on the surface of the component. Hold the image with a finger while slowly pulling the backing from the film image. Gently smooth the image into the Magic-Glos to avoid bubbles.

Cure the Magic-Glos according to manufacturer's instructions.

Tip: The Magic-Glos will cause the image to look mottled, but this will be fixed later.
STEP 5
Apply more Magic-Glos to the surface of the component then allow it to settle. If desired use a toothpick or needle tool to spread the Magic-Glos using care not to spill over the sides.

Note: Magic-Glos is perfect for use on flat surfaces because it is designed to bead and pull back from the edges, creating a cabochon effect.

Cure according to manufacturer's instructions.

Repeat to add additional layers as desired.
