Dear valued customers, we are migrating to a new computer system on March 29, 2024. Please make sure to place your orders by March 28. If you need to export your cart items, or favorites list, check out this quick how-to. We thank you for your patience during this transition.
Tip: Using different colored clays with the foils creates different effects. For example, when a pearlescent foil is applied to black clay it creates an abalone-shell look. Apply the same foil to white clay to create a mother-of-pearl look.
STEP 1
Press scrap foil pieces onto raw clay then rip for a confetti effect. Repeat, allowing bits of the clay to show through, until the desired effect is obtained.
STEP 2
Using a clay blade, trim pieces from the abalone-shell clay (or any clay with a desired effect) in various shapes and sizes, applying them randomly to the confetti-foiled clay.
Tip: Try over-lapping clay pieces over one another to create an abstract piece.
Repeat until the desired look is obtained. Use a cutting tool to cut the desired shape from the confetti-foiled clay, then add a decorative bail for a very artistic piece.
