Jasper, Flower Gemstone Properties
When you see someone wearing flower jasper, it's like unexpectedly seeing a bouquet of warm, sunny colors. Everything seems lighter: the room, other people's faces, and your own mood, especially. I love the beads mixed with moss agate, leaf green seed beads and nickel-plated or solid brass beads. Or mix them with a variety of wooden beads for a total sense of the outdoors that will bring people in off the streets to take home a bouquet of your "flowers."
Like all jaspers that have brown or grey in them, flower jasper eases tension. I gave a strand of them to a friend who was having trouble with her grown daughter. My friend hung them on a bulletin board above her telephone. Whenever her daughter called, she kept her eyes fastened on the beads. When she and her daughter couldn't agree on anything, the cheerful colors swirling against a neutral background reminded her that her favorite bouquets were always made up of a variety of flowers. And sure enough, things eased. Neither of them changed, but somehow their differences didn't matter as much as they had before.
