Design Idea BC1P
Grand Prize Gold Medal Winner: Robin Young

"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited! I can't tell you how excited I am! You made my world!"

With its unique polymer clay creations and steampunk style, Robin's museum-quality necklace stole the show. Her incredible piece represents what Chris called "one of the better uses of polymer clay I've seen." A well thought-out jewelry design, the necklace also features a handmade clasp. Robin calls Family Stringer a show-stopper featuring pieces from her line of Rescue Fish. These fierce yet friendly polymer clay creations pay tribute to those rescued from the 2011 tsunami and nuclear devastation in Japan--and to the fish that elude the hooks of Robin and her family on their annual Canadian fishing trips!

Grand Prize Silver Medal Winner: Pamela Pica

Presenting a masterful application of polymer clay, Pamela's beautiful necklace design Tulips for Rafael features delicate and delightful clay tulips. Pearls, gemstones and shells are wire-wrapped into a floral garland that is both wearable and sculpturally intriguing.

Design Idea BC16
Grand Prize Bronze Medal Winner: Nikki Ogle

Nikki's over-the-top original design features a creative use of natural materials--including actual gourds. She incorporated carved gourd pieces into Tidal Jewels, along with materials such as coral, pearl and bone, resulting in a dramatic display of color, texture and life. Nikki's original inspiration for the piece came from the texture of the Sputnik Sea Urchin and the hope to spark oceanic memories.

Employee's Choice: Tammara ScottAtlantis is certainly a real place when you gaze at this exquisite piece of home décor art. Tammara's breathtaking creation, Lost Key to Atlantis, has so much to offer--seed beads, Swarovski crystal, pearl, shell, polymer clay sea life and more. Both mysterious and fantastical, it bursts with color, texture and design techniques.
President's Award: Anh Nhan
We fell in love with this intricate necklace and earring set. In festive fall colors, Anh's Autumn Splendid features an incredible tapestry of seed beads, pearls and Czech fire-polished glass fashioned into irresistible floral designs. Detailed workmanship helped this pretty, artful design claim the President's Award.

Honorable Mention: June Dendak

Unbelievably gorgeous down to the last seed bead, June's Double Sided Purse is both accessory and art. The incredibly detailed beaded design features an amazing blend of seed beads and pearls to create the purse itself, the fringe and the handle.
