The Lazee Daizee™ brand Viking Knit tool is a 6-1/2 x 1/4 inch rod with pin tool to simplify the art of creating Viking Knit wire jewelry designs. Designed by artist Stephanie Eddy, this amazing wire weaving tool makes the ancient form of creating woven chain a breeze--especially when beginning a project.
The 1/4 inch Viking Knit tool generates a very flexible and fluid chain that works up fast. A diameter of 3/8 inches can be achieved with 22-gauge wire. It can also accommodate 20-gauge wire by reducing the number of loops used. The tool can be used with multiple strands of different colors of wire at the same time to create different weave patterns, and can be used for blending and feathering techniques. Includes instructions and draw chart.
The Viking Knit wire weaving rod has a 6-loop easy-start head insert, anchoring hole and pin tool. Recommended for 24- to 30-gauge wire. Includes instructions and draw chart. Packaged in thermo-formed clamshell.
Use the Viking Knit tool along with plastic or wood draw plates to help condense the diameter of knit wire without marring or scratching the surface.
