Could you please tell me the best way to straighten wire for wrapping, as coiled wire is still curved? Thanks.

Hold the spool of wire in your non-dominant hand and place the jaws of the nylon jaw pliers, a few feet down from the end, on the wire. Grasp firmly and pull the pliers along the length of the wire to straighten it.

Nylon jaw pliers are very versatile and are not only ideal for straightening wire; they can be used in any situation where you want to be sure not to mar your wire, including working with jump rings and straightening head pins and eye pins.
