Where do you live?

I live in a little beach town on Maui, Hawaii.

What inspires you as a designer-artist?

The island inspires me! Especially sunsets, the ocean, flowers and shells. 

What medium do you work with mostly?

I mostly work with Miyuki Delica® beads. 

Why did you become enchanted with this style of jewelry-making/crafting?

I became enchanted with beadwork during the pandemic. I had been wire wrapping for two years and enjoyed it. When the world shut down, I decided it was my time to learn how to make beaded jewelry. That was it! I was hooked.

What inspired these designs? How did they come together? For example, did you plan it out or did it define itself once you began working?

I never plan anything out. The only thing I usually have in mind is my muse such as the ocean, a sunset or sunrise or a particular flower. I just love working with color, so I’ll pull from my inspiration and see where it takes me.
