Attractive engraving requires a sure and steady hand and can be created using these tips with sufficient practice:

1. Draw the design or letter on the item with a non-permanent ink, then trace over the lines with the engraver
2. Hold the item in a vise or clamp to prevent shifting or movement during engraving
3. Engrave with a smooth, slow, steady forward movement of the tip.

Safety glasses are highly recommended when using engraver.
