Before 1950, polish was made with beeswax and carnauba wax, which would unfortunately cause damage to certain materials when oxidation occurred. The solution is Renaissance® wax paste developed by the British Museum research laboratories. Originally used in museums and art galleries to polish and preserve, this clear micro-crystalline wax is now also handy for use in protecting beads, findings and jewelry. This wax cleans, buffs, polishes and protects against tarnish, oils, dirt and fingerprints up to six months with just a small dab. Safe for use on precious metals, base metals, plated items, wood, glass, leather, porcelain, plastic, bone, shell and gemstone.
