Product Safety and Restrictions
Fire Mountain Gems and Beads is committed to complying with applicable federal and state laws
concerning the safety of consumer products. Importantly, the United States and various states
have enacted laws with strict content standards for products intended for children and, in some
cases, specific testing and certification. Products sold by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads® are
intended for experienced jewelry-makers and designer-artists; children 14 years of age or younger
should use these products with adult direction.
Fire Mountain Gems and Beads requires our suppliers to meet all applicable content requirements
for lead and other regulated materials. We work closely with suppliers and testing agencies to
ensure that our products meet the requirements of California's Lead-Containing Jewelry Law, California's
Proposition 65, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. We conduct periodic test of our products
to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Due to vendor restrictions, Fire Mountain Gems and Beads is unable to ship Art Clay products to
certain countries. We recommend, as an alternative,

In compliance with U.S. Customs and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Fire Mountain Gems and
Beads restricts the sale of certain natural materials outside the 50 United States and the District
of Columbia. Fire Mountain Gems and Beads works closely with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to
strictly comply with all restrictions regarding the importing and exporting of natural materials.
In compliance with Japanese import restrictions, Fire Mountain Gems and Beads restricts the export
to Japan of many natural materials which may include bone, horn, wood, seed, nut, leather, leaves and flowers.
Fire Mountain Gems and Beads is unable to ship certain products that could be deemed "hazardous"
material outside of the contiguous United States, including adhesives/glues/resins. Items containing
hazardous materials must be shipped via FedEx Ground to a physical address and cannot be returned.

elimination of Cadmium, Lead, Nickel and Phthalates from our products.
Fire Mountain Gems and Beads, Inc. also has a screening program to ensure that our products are in
compliance with the State of California's Proposition 65 and all other applicable United States laws.
For our customers subject to the European Unions' REACH law, that law does not require companies outside
of the E.U. to comply with the defined requirements of that law.
Regarding the metal nickel, generally any stainless steel or plated metallic jewelry component
available in the marketplace will contain some nickel. Unless the seller says explicitly that a product
is "nickel free", a buyer should assume those products contains nickel.
