The Lazee Daizee™ brand Viking Knit tool 6-1/2 x 1/2 inch rod with pin tool to simplify the art of creating Viking Knit wire jewelry designs. Designed by artist Stephanie Eddy, this amazing wire weaving tool makes the ancient form of creating woven chain a breeze--especially when beginning a project.

The larger of the two wire weaving rods designed by Stephanie, this 1/2 inch Viking Knit tool accommodates larger gauges of wire (up to 20 gauge). Because of the larger diameter, beads, pearls and gems can be inserted inside the weaves, as well as headpins with embellishments. The tool can be used with multiple strands of different colors of wire at the same time. Use it to create different weave patterns, and also for blending and feathering techniques. The weaves on this tool can be reduced to 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch diameter, depending on the gauge of wire and number of loops used. It is easy to hold and works well for teaching weaving techniques.

The Viking Knit wire weaving rod is 1/2 inch wide with a 12-loop easy-start head insert, two anchoring holes and pin tool. Recommended for 20- to 28-gauge wire (26-gauge wire is recommended for beginners). Includes instructions and draw chart. Packaged in thermo-formed clamshell.

Use the Viking Knit tool along with plastic or wood draw plates that help condense the diameter of knit wire without marring or scratching the surface.
