Sterling silver-filled wire is made of a durable outer layer of sterling silver surrounding a copper-alloy core and is finished with an anti-tarnish coating to preserve its beauty. While silver-filled wire is ideal for basic wire-working, we recommend using sterling silver wire for more intricate projects.

This sterling silver-filled wire is not suitable for hammering or forging. Half-hard wire is malleable; however, it will maintain an intricate shape under stress. Cut ends of wire may show copper-alloy core.

For optimal results, use nylon jaw pliers or pliers dipped in Tool Magic® heavy-duty rubber coating when working with sterling silver-filled wire to prevent scratching or marring. Contains 10% silver, 1/10 silver filled.
