Have a question about this item?
Hand-cut, faceted crescent moon drop of blue chalcedony makes a lovely addition to bracelets, necklaces, earrings and more. Silver plating is directly applied to the stone and allows the facets to show through. Chalcedony is believed to have been named after an ancient town, Chalcedon, in Asia Minor. In those times, chalcedony was used for cameos--carved gemstones featuring a raised relief image. Add a small lobster claw clasp with a jump ring or split ring to take advantage of the trend for interchangeable, immediately personalized jewelry. Sizes, shapes and colors may vary with handcrafted items.
