Precious gemstones are graded by alphabet letters for the quality of the stone. This grading system is regulated by the American Gem Trade Association. Look at the description for the product to choose a grade that suits you. Other criteria noted in the product description would be the Mohs hardness of the stone, the specific color enhancement, if any, graduations and faceting. With this complete information, the buyer can be assured of the product being purchased.

Fire Mountain Gems and Beads closely adheres to the regulations of the AGTA, and strives to represent the quality of their products as accurately as possible.

Finished jewelry featuring precious gemstones is not as easily identifiable to the customer. When buying in this market, it's always best to rely on a reputable source.
