It may help to prepare the textured/sparkled surface before gluing. Prior to rolling the paper beads, use a sanding swab to rough up the surface of the last few inches of the paper that you will be gluing down. Once the bead is rolled, using an adhesive designed for paper beads will help keep the paper in place and add a nice glossy finish. You might want to try using Vibrance Paper Bead Glaze or Paper Bead Girl Adhesive.
