Secrets to Cutting Memory Wire
Tammy Honaman, jewelry-making expert, explains how memory wire is a favorite jewelry wire for designing, but you need a special pair of memory wire shears to cut the stainless steel without becoming damaged.
Instructions
Memory wire shears cut stainless steel wire without damaging it.
Step 1
Measure the length of wire needed then place the wire inside the opening of the memory wire shears where it needs cutting.
Step 2
Compress the handle of the shears with your dominant hand while holding the wire in the other.
Step 3
String beads onto the wire then finish each end with a loop or a half-drilled bead.
