Describe your artistic style.

Functional Art! Everything that I make is functional: graphic designs, 3D models, and my recent passion for iced out accessories.

What inspires you as a designer-artist?

Creating something that is one of a kind. I want to make things that have never been seen before.

What materials do you most enjoy working with?

Crystal flat backs.

What inspired this design?

The Renaissance.

How did it come together?

I sketched and planned the design before beginning.

Who introduced you to beading?

My mother. At first, I was not big on jewelry, but then my mother raised a good point that it had unique selling points. When I got into it, I realized that it was perfect for my obsessive habits for detail. With my crystal creations, I was temporarily employed by a crystal phone case company. I was given the chance to utilize my artistic talents towards my own projects and it just blossomed from there!

Do you have an artistic background?

Yes. I am self taught with countless projects under my belt, and I currently go to the Art Institute of Orange County for Game Art and Design. I feel as though having a mindset that creates impossible worlds gives me a creative edge for creating my designs.

How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?

Through my mother.

What other hobbies do you have?

Martial arts, graphic design, traditional art, video games.

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?

My worries disappear when I am blinging something. I love making something for me and my mother that turns heads!

If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?

I use what is available to me, and in these hard times, I put my graphic design skills to work and market myself using my own methods. I do have a website that allows contact with me as a design consultant.

Do you participate in any charity fundraisers?

A charity request for a breast cancer event is pending.

Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?

Put your passion and enjoyment first when you are making a piece to sell. Enjoy the process and make the most of it. Then when the moment is over, sell it.
