Instructions
Cut the following:
String onto the length of beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.
String onto the beading wire:
Continue to string five 6x1mm heishis onto the beading wire then repeat Step 3 in the opposite direction.
Repeat Step 2 to secure the strand.
Pass one 6mm jump ring through one Accu-Guard and one lobster claw clasp then close. Attach a 6mm jump ring to the opposite Accu-Guard to complete the necklace.
String one red teardrop onto one 5-inch length of wire. Working with the tail of the wire (coming out of the bottom of the teardrop), bend the tail up, following the contour of the bead, then wrap once around the wire exiting the top of the bead. Trim the tail.
With the working end of the wire, form a wrapped loop. Continue to wrap the wire to form a wire-wrapped bead cap that covers the topmost portion of the teardrop. Trim excess wire.
String a lime 8mm round onto a second length of wire. Position the bead so it is approximately centered on the wire.
Form a wrapped loop with one end of the wire. Do not trim excess wire. With the tail of wire from the wrapped loop, bend and spiral the wire up around the bead.
Note: There should be two working ends of wire; one that goes through the bead and one that is the remainder of the wrapped loop.
Continue to wrap the tail around the wire exiting the top of the bead then trim excess.
With the opposite end of wire, form a wrapped loop, connecting it to the centermost link of the length of chain.
Pass one 6mm jump ring through the link on one end of the chain and one lobster claw clasp then close. Attach a 6mm jump ring to the opposite end of the chain to complete the necklace.
Cut two 5-inch lengths of 20-gauge wire.
String one 6mm bicone, three 6x1mm heishis and two 6mm bicones onto the shank of an ear wire then form a simple loop. Connect the simple loop to the wrapped loop of the red teardrop drop to complete the earring.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to create a second earring.
