Dragon Chainmaille Weave

Instructions
Step 1
Starting and ending with large rings, create a 1-1 chain with alternating large and small rings that is the desired width of the finished weave.
Lay the chain on your work surface as shown.
Step 2
Starting and ending with small rings, create a 1-1 chain with alternating small and large rings that is the same length as the chain created in Step 1.
Lay this length of chain on the chain from Step 1 as shown.
Step 3
Pass an open large jump ring through a closed small jump ring, through the leftmost small jump ring from the bottom of the stacked chains and around the leftmost small jump ring on the top stacked chain then close.
Step 4
Pass an open large jump ring through the small jump rings passed through in Step 3, around the next small jump ring on the top stacked chain, through a closed small jump ring and through the next small jump ring on the bottom stacked chain. Close the ring.
Repeat to complete the row, ending with a large ring.
Note: The completed row is now the top stacked chain, making the row directly under it the bottom stacked chain.
Step 5
Pass an open jump ring through the leftmost small jump ring from the bottom stacked chain, through two closed small jump rings, through the next small jump ring from the bottom stacked chain and around the leftmost small jump ring from the top stacked chain. Close the ring.
Repeat to complete the row.
Step 6
Repeat Steps 3 - 5 until the weave is the desired length.
