Cut five 96-inch lengths of black hemp cord.
Cut one 18-inch length of black hemp cord for the tie. Set aside until the end.
Make a temporary knot about an inch from the middle using all five cords.
Use the rightmost cord to make 10 lark's head knots around the four remaining cords.
Remove temporary knot.
Pull all cords together, leaving a loop of lark's head knots at the top. There will be a right and left tail extending from the knots.
Pull the left tail over all the inside cords, excluding the righthand tail, and tie a half-hitch knot around all of the center cords, letting the tail trail to the right.
Use the topmost cord as a working cord. Use the next cord to tie a half-hitch knot around it. Use the next cord to tie a half-hitch knot around the working cord. Repeat until only one cord remains.
Use the topmost cord as working cord. Use the next cord to tie a half-hitch knot around it. Use the next cord to tie a half-hitch knot around the working cord. Repeat twice.
Thread the next two cords onto a big-eye needle and thread an 8mm wood bead onto them. Push the bead all the way down against the knots. Use the next cord after the bead to tie a half-hitch knot around the working cord. Repeat until only one cord remains.
Repeat Step 4.
Use the topmost cord as working cord. Use the next cord to tie a half-hitch knot around it. Add that cord to the working cord. Use the next cord to tie a half-hitch knot around both cords. Repeat until all cords are incorporated.
Use the leftmost cord to make two half-hitch knots around all cords. This completes one section.
Repeat Steps 4 through 9 to create a second section. Repeat for as many sections as desired.
Use the leftmost cord to create 10 lark's head knots around all remaining cords. Use a few drops of E6000® Fray Lock™ inside the tops of all cords to glue them together. Use the tail from the lark's head knots to wrap around the tops of all cords several times to bind them to the opposite side, beyond the loop of lark's head knots. Make a knot and thread the tail though a big-eye needle. Thread the tail though one section of macramé and cut off excess.
Attach pendant to the bottom center of the macramé design with a jump ring.
Use 18-inch cord to fasten the necklace through the loops with a bow.
Cut five 24-inch lengths of black hemp cord.
Make a temporary knot about an inch from the middle using all five cords.
