Instructions
Cut one 21-inch length of Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire.
Draw one 3x4-1/2x4-1/2 inch triangle with rounded corners on a sheet of paper. Along the 3-inch edge of the triangle, draw three evenly spaced 6x16mm posts. Continue to draw one 1-1/8x1-3/4x1-3/4 inch triangle with rounded corners inside of the template. Repeat to create a duplicate template but do not add the three 6x16mm posts. Cut out the two templates then attach the first (with posts) to one silver metal sheet and the second (without posts) to one blue metal sheet.
Mount the silver metal sheet in a bench pin mounted in the bench pin system.
Use a jeweler's saw to cut out the outside edge of the triangle.
Use a hole punch to create a hole on the inside edge of the triangle. Remove the blade of a jewelers saw from its handle, pass the blade through the punched hole then reattach the blade to the handle. Use the jewelers saw to cut out the inside edge of the triangle then disassemble the saw to remove the blade.
Repeat, using one blue metal sheet, cutting the outside edge slightly smaller and the inside edge slightly larger than the silver triangle.
Note: The blue metal triangles outside edge is cut smaller and inside edge larger than the silver metal triangle so it can lay behind the silver without its edges being seen.
Use pliers to bend each post on the silver metal triangle into simple loops.
Apply a small amount of Renaissance® wax paste polish to a cloth then rub onto both the silver and blue metal triangles to keep fingerprints off the metal and reduce the chance of oxidation.
Stack the silver triangle over the blue triangle so no blue is visible at the edges. Without letting the triangles shift position, use hole punch pliers to punch one 2mm hole at each outside corner, these will be for the rivets, and one 2mm hole centered just above the top inside edge.
Separate the triangles then continue to punch different sized holes into the silver triangle to give a spotted design, leaving a minimum of 2 - 3mm of space between all punched holes and the edges of the triangle.
Use a JoolTool™ to soften and buff the edges of the triangles. To smooth the edges of the hard to reach holes use a needle file then sandpaper, working from low grit to high until the wanted finish has been achieved.
Pass one 11x6mm brad through one rivet hole of the silver triangle and the blue triangle. String the washer onto the brad then trim its excess length and secure by hammering into place.
Repeat to secure the remaining rivet holes of the triangles.
Pass one 8x6mm oval jumpring through the 2mm hole centered just above the top inside edge of the triangle and the loop of one lapis lazuli triangle drop then close.
String onto the beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a crimp cover.
String ten sets of one 6mm corrugated round and three 8x4mm heishis then string the following:
Continue to string ten sets of three 8x4mm heishi and one 6mm corrugated round.
Repeat Step 10 to secure the strand.
Use one 4mm jumpring to connect one end of the necklace to one half of a toggle clasp. Repeat to create double jumprings.
Repeat to connect the opposite end of the necklace to the second half of the toggle clasp.
String onto one 2-inch headpin: one 6mm corrugated round, one 8x4mm heishi and one corrugated round. Form a wrapped loop to create a drop.
Repeat to create a second drop.
Use one 4mm jumpring to connect the loop of the drop to one 8x8mm earstud then attach one 4.5mm earnut to the earstud.
Repeat to create a second earring.
