In this super-short and super-fun jewelry-making tutorial, polymer clay expert Christi Friesen shows how to make a clay wig wag, a roll of clay with wavy stripes to use in all sorts of jewelry projects.
Instructions
Starting with layers of striped polymer clay rolled into a snake, twist one end (approximately the width of a finger) 1 - 2 times around.
While holding the previous twisted length, twist a new length of the striped snake 1 - 2 times around in the opposite direction.
Repeat Step 2 until the entire length of striped clay has opposite twists throughout.
Place the clay on a surface then roll the clay back into a snake shape.
