- Bead, glass, multicolored, 2x1mm-4x3mm mixed shape
- Chain, stainless steel, 2.2mm cable, 18 inches with lobster claw clasp
- Clasp, toggle, enamel and stainless steel, black, 15mm round with lines
- Cone, antique silver-plated brass, 13x10mm filigree with swirl and circle design, 8mm inside diameter
- Connector, TierraCast®, "Caravan" collection, antique silver-plated pewter (tin-based alloy), 23x14.5mm single-sided curved Marrakesh with 5 holes
- Ear wire, silver-finished stainless steel and brass, 19mm fishhook with 6x2mm coil and open loop, 21 gauge
- Eye pin, antique silver-plated brass, 1 inch, 21 gauge
- Eye pin, antique silver-plated brass, 2 inches, 21 gauge
- Head pin, antique silver-plated brass, 1-1/2 inches, 21 gauge
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Seed bead, Dyna-Mites™, glass, opaque white, #11 round
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, opaque black, (HEX-652), #11 hex 2-cut
- Thread, Berkley® FireLine®, gel-spun polyethylene, smoke, 0.10mm diameter, 3-pound test
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 10-foot length of Berkley® Fireline® thread.
Step 2
Thread a beading needle almost doubling the thread but leaving a tail so you are working with only one thread.
String four seed beads (this will be the base row).
Step 3
String the following:
- Two seed beads
- One glass bead
- Two seed beads
Pass back through the base row.
Step 4
String the following:
- Three seed beads
- One glass bead
- Two seed beads
Skip the first seed bead from the base row then pass through the remaining three seed beads from the base row and the newly added seed bead.
Repeat this sequence to create a spiral rope of approximately 21 inches.
Step 5
Tie an overhand knot onto a 2-inch eye pin close to the end of the spiral rope. String a filigree cone and a glass bead.
Form a wrapped loop on the end of the eye pin. Pass the loop and one half of a toggle clasp through two jump rings.
Repeat on the other end of the necklace.
Earrings Instructions
Step 1
Pass a glass bead onto a head pin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of 18 beaded head pins.
Step 2
Pass seven seed beads onto an eye pin then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of six beaded eye pins.
Step 3
Attach three beaded head pins to one side of a beaded eye pin. Repeat with the remaining beaded head pins and eye pins to create a total of six beaded drops.
Use jump rings to attach three beaded drops to the bottom of each TierraCast® connector.
Step 4
Cut four 1/2-inch lengths of chain.
Use a jump ring to attach the end of one length of chain to the top of a TierraCast connector. Repeat with the remaining cut lengths of chain.
On one TierraCast connector, pass a jump ring through the ends of each length of chain and an ear wire. Repeat on the other TierraCast connector.
