- Chain, Gossamer™, 14Kt gold-filled, 1mm triple rope, 18 inches with springring clasp
- Crimp end, gold-plated brass, 3.5x2mm tube with loop
- Earstud, 14Kt gold-filled, 6mm ball with open loop
- Head pin, 14Kt gold-filled, 1-1/2 inches, 22 gauge
- Pearl, cultured saltwater (bleached), white, 7.5-8mm round, B grade, Mohs hardness 2-1/2 to 4
- Pearl, White Lotus™, cultured freshwater, mauve, 5-5.5mm semi-round, B- grade, Mohs hardness 2-1/2 to 4
- Seed bead, Preciosa Ornela, Czech glass, opaque metallic gold, #11 round
- Wire, 12Kt gold-filled, dead-soft, round, 22 gauge
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut eleven 1-1/2 inch lengths of 0.75mm triple rope chain, leaving the clasp intact on two lengths and twenty 2-inch lengths of 22-gauge wire.
Step 2
Place one cut end of one length of rope chain into one 3.5x2mm tube with loop then flatten with chain-nose pliers. Pull the crimp end to make sure it is secure. Repeat to attach one tube with loop to each end of each length of chain (except the clasp ends).
Step 3
Form a simple loop on one end of one length of wire. String one metallic gold #11 seed bead, one white 8mm pearl and one metallic gold #11 seed bead then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of ten white pearl links.
Repeat to create a total of ten links using mauve 5mm pearls.
Step 4
Attach the tube loop on one length of chain (with clasp) to a loop on one white pearl link. Connect the loop on the opposite end to a loop on one mauve pearl link. Connect the loop on the opposite end of the mauve pearl link to a tube loop on one length of chain.
Repeat this sequence to connect a total of five sets.
Step 5
Attach a loop on one mauve pearl link to the previous length of chain. Connect the loop on the opposite end to a loop on one white pearl link. Connect the loop on the opposite end of the white pearl link to a loop on one length of chain.
Repeat this sequence to connect a total of five sets, using the chain with the second portion of the clasp in the last set.
Earring Instructions
Step 1
Cut four 2-inch lengths of 22-gauge wire.
Step 2
String onto one 1-1/2 inch head pin one metallic gold #11 seed bead, one white 8mm pearl and one metallic gold #11 seed bead then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second white pearl drop.
Step 3
Form a simple loop on one end of one length of wire. String one metallic gold #11 seed bead, one white 8mm pearl and one metallic gold #11 seed bead then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a second white pearl link.
Repeat to create two links using mauve 5mm pearls.
Step 4
Attach the loop on one white pearl drop to a loop on one white pearl link. Connect the loop on the opposite end of the white pearl link to a loop on one mauve pearl link. Connect the loop on the opposite end of the mauve pearl link to the loop on one 6mm earstud.
Repeat to create a second earring.
