- Bead, lapis lazuli (natural), 3mm faceted round, A- grade, Mohs hardness 5 to 6
- Bead, silver-plated brass, 2.5mm round
- Chain, antique copper-plated brass, 2.5mm curb, 18 inches with S-hook clasp
- Component, copper-plated steel, 20mm double-sided hammered open round
- Drop, Crystal Passions®, majestic blue, 8mm faceted classic cut pendant (6430)
- Ear wire, antique copper-plated copper, 17mm flat fishhook with 3mm coil and open loop, 20 gauge
- Wire, ParaWire™, copper, round, 18 gauge
- Wire, ParaWire™, copper, round, 24 gauge
Instructions
Step 1
Cut four 5-inch lengths of 24-gaue wire and three 1/4 inch lengths of 18-gauge wire. Cut one 1-inch length of chain.
Step 2
Wrap the end of a 5-inch wire three times around the open round component. Pass on a lapis lazuli bead then wrap once around the component. Pass on a silver-plated brass bead then wrap around the component. Continue to add a total of six lapis lazuli beads and five silver- plated brass beads. Finish by wrapping three times around the component. Trim excess wire.
Step 3
Pass a Crystal Passions® drop halfway onto a 5-inch wire. Bend both ends of the wire up then wrap together twice. Pass both ends through a single silver-plated brass bead. Pass through a link in the cut chain then create a wrapped loop.
Repeat to attach a total of three drops to the chain.
Step 4
Wrap the 1/4 inch wire around wire-wrapping pliers to create three jump rings. Use a jump ring to attach the chain from Step 3 to the component. Use the remaining two jump rings to attach the ear wire to the component as seen in the image.
Step 5
Repeat Steps 1 - 5 to create a second earring.
