- Head pin, gold-plated brass, 1-1/2 inches, 21 gauge
- Adhesive, Devcon® 5 Minute® Epoxy, 2-part
- Thread, Purely Silk™, red, size F
- Bead, gold-plated brass, 3mm corrugated rondelle
- Pearl, Crystal Passions®, pearlescent white, 6mm round (5810)
- Pearl, Crystal Passions®, pearlescent white, 8mm round (5810)
- Ear wire, Amoracast®, satin-finished "vermeil", 13mm fishhook with top hat and open loop, 20 gauge
Instructions
Step 1
Cut twelve 2-inch lengths of Purely Silk™ thread.
Step 2
Line up two lengths of thread, forming one strand. Repeat for a total of three strands.
Form a braid using the three strands.
Step 3
Insert one end of the braid into one 3mm rondelle bead then crimp. Repeat to the opposite of the braid strand, creating a scarf.
Step 4
String one 8mm pearlescent white pearl and two 6mm pearlescent white pearls onto on 1-1/2 inch head pin.
Form a simple loop.
Step 5
String the simple loop onto the ear wire, making sure that the top hat is facing outward.
Step 6
Take the scarf and wrap it around the pearls, making sure to wrap it in between the 6mm pearls.
Step 7
Mix a small amount of Devcon® 5-Minute® Epoxy according to manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the epoxy onto one end of the scarf then place the opposite end of the scarf over it, making sure the scarf crosses itself to create an earring.
Step 8
Repeat Steps 2 through 7 to create a second earring.
