- Bead gold-finished steel, 8x1mm heishi
- Head pin gold-plated brass, 3 inches, 21 gauge
- Bead glass rhinestone and gold-finished brass, black, 8x4mm
- Bead Czech pearl-coated glass druk, opaque iridescent light cream, 8mm round
- Bead sapphire, Crystal Passions® 6mm cube 5601
- Bead jet, Crystal Passions® 8mm cube 5601
- Bead light Siam, Crystal Passions® 8mm cube 5601
- Bead, Czech fire-polished glass, 8mm faceted round, opaque jet black
- Ear wire fishhook gold-plated, 17mm / 2.5mm ball / open loop, 22 gauge brass
- Bead, glass rhinestone and gold-finished brass, black, 6x3mm squaredelle
Instructions
Earring Instructions
Step 1
Thread a Crystal Passions® 8mm jet cube bead onto a 3-inch 21-gauge gold-plated head pin. Place the head pin into a piece of scrap polymer clay so the headpin points straight up.
Step 2
Add a tiny drop of clear Super Glue® Future Glue® Gel to the top of the jet cube near the back.
Thread a Crystal Passions 6mm sapphire cube bead onto the head pin to rest squarely on the jet cube, centering the cube by pushing it toward the back. Quickly clean up any glue showing with a cotton swab and alcohol. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 3
Add a tiny drop of Super Glue Future Glue Gel to the top back of the sapphire cube. Then thread a second Crystal Passions 6mm sapphire cube bead onto the head pin to rest squarely on the first. Quickly clean up any glue showing with a cotton swab and alcohol. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 4
Pick up a 6x3mm black glass rhinestone and gold-finished squaredelle bead and place a small drop of Super Glue Future Glue Gel inside two corners. Place the square rondelle glue side down onto the head pin to sit squarely on the top of the sapphire cube. Quickly clean up any glue showing with a cotton swab and alcohol. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 5
Place a small drop of Super Glue Future Glue Gel inside two corners of the 6x3mm squaredelle bead. Quickly set a Crystal Passions® 8mm light Siam cube bead onto the head pin to sit squarely on the top of the 6x3mm bead. Quickly clean up any glue showing with a cotton swab and alcohol. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 6
Add a tiny drop of Super Glue Future Glue Gel to the top back of the Crystal Passions® 8mm light Siam cube bead. Quickly thread an 8x1mm gold-finished heishi bead onto the head pin, let it fall on top of the light Siam cube bead and center it. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 7
Add a tiny drop of Super Glue Future Glue Gel to the top back of the heishi bead right near the head pin stem. Quickly thread an 8mm opaque iridescent light cream Czech pearl-coated round glass druk bead onto the head pin and let it fall onto the heishi bead. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Step 8
Thread an 8mm opaque iridescent light cream Czech pearl-coated round glass druk bead and then an 8mm opaque jet black Czech fire-polished glass faceted round bead onto the head pin. There is no need for glue.
Step 9
Finish the nutcracker drop with a small simple loop. Then attach to a 17mm 22-gauge gold-plated fishhook ear wire.
Step 10
Repeat Steps 1-9 for the second earring.
