- Bead, paua shell and resin (assembled), 15x15mm flat heart.
- Bead, TierraCast®, antique silver-plated pewter (tin-based alloy), 3x1mm beaded rondelle
- Bead, TierraCast®, antique silver-plated pewter (tin-based alloy), 5x1.5mm beaded rondelle
- Component, copper-plated steel, 25mm double-sided hammered open round
- Component, TierraCast®, "Hammertone" collection, gold-plated pewter (tin-based alloy), 31.5mm hammered open round, 25mm inside diameter
- Ear wire French hook gold-plated, 20mm / open loop, 20 gauge brass
- Head pin, gold-plated brass, 1 inch, 21 gauge
- Head pin, gold-plated brass, 2 inches, 24 gauge
- Jump ring, gold-plated brass, 8mm round, 5.4mm inside diameter, 16 gauge
- Pearl, cultured freshwater (dyed), iris green, 5-6mm semi-round, C grade, Mohs hardness 2-1/2 to 4
Instructions
Step 1
Make a drop by threading one 5-6mm iris green cultured freshwater semi-round pearl, one 5x1.5mm TierraCast® antique silver-plated beaded rondelle bead and one 3x1mm TierraCast antique silver-plated beaded rondelle bead onto a 2-inch 24-gauge gold-plated head pin. Finish with a wrapped loop, adding a 31.5mm TierraCast “Hammertone” gold-plated open round component to the loop before wrapping.
Step 2
Make a second drop by threading a 15x15mm paua shell and resin flat heart bead onto a 1-inch 21-gauge gold-plated head pin. Make a small simple loop to finish the drop.
Step 3
Open two 8mm 16-gauge gold-plated round jump rings. Add to one of the opened jump rings: two unopened 8mm 16-gauge gold-plated round jump rings, the paua shell heart drop, a 25mm copper-plated hammered open round component, and the 31.5mm TierraCast® “Hammertone” gold-plated hammered open round component.
Run the second opened jump ring through all of the components the first opened jump ring went through, then close it so the two original jump rings lay parallel.
Step 4
Open the loop on a 20mm 20-gauge gold-plated French hook ear wire. Add on the two jump rings coming from the two originally opened jump rings.
Step 5
Repeat Steps 1-3 for the second earring.
