Cut nine 18-inch and three 24-inch lengths of 26-gauge ParaWire™.
String one 6mm bicone onto one length of wire. Form a U-shaped bend in the tail, approximately 1-1/2 inches from the end, around the bicone. Use a chain-nose pliers to grip the tail and the working part of the wire, then twist the bicone until the tail is completely wrapped around the working wire, forming a "stem." |
String one 8mm pearl onto the working end of the wire. Position the pearl approximately 1/2 inch from the end of the previous twist. Bend the wire around the pearl and back to the wire between the two beads. Grip both wires at the end of the previous stem then twist the pearl to form a second "stem."
String one 6mm pearl and one 3mm bicone onto the working end of the wire. Position the beads approximately 1/2 inch from the end of the previous stem. Bend the working end of the wire around the beads and back to the wire between the two beads. Grip both wires at the end of the previous wire wrap then twist the beads to form a second "stem."
Repeat Steps 2 - 5 using 1-3 bicones and pearls of various sizes, shapes and colors until you have a bouquet of beads with 10-13 wrapped stems. Alter the lengths of the wraps to form stems of different lengths.
Straighten the remaining length of wire to form the bottom stem of the bouquet and trim to approximately 2-3 inches.
Repeat Steps 2 - 5 to create a total of twelve beaded floral spikes to decorate a bridal bouquet.
