Outside dimensions of beads are always given, how do you gauge the mm dimension of the center hole of say, the crow pony beads when it is not listed?
- Nancy
The average hole size on a pony bead is approximately 4.5mm but can range from 2 to 5.5mm, depending on the outside dimensions and the manufacturer. When looking at a Fire Mountain Gems and Beads catalog, you can use a caliper to measure the hole of the bead right on the page as the beads are actual size (unless specifically stated otherwise).
