Topics: Thread, Bookmarks

Q.
Hello, I want to make bookmarks using a variety of beads; however, I am uncertain what type of thread and what size thread I should purchase. Please send me a few suggestions. Item numbers are a real plus. Haha Take care,

Bookmarks can be made with many types of beads; the type of bead you choose will help determine what type and size thread to use. Below is a list of recommendations to help guide you in making your selections.
  • Delica® seed beads, size 11/0 - nylon thread or FireLine®
  • Hex 2-cut beads, size 11/0 or bugle beads - FireLine
  • Seed beads, size 11/0 or rocailles, size 15/0 - nylon thread, silk thread or FireLine
  • Tila® beads and Twin™, 2-hole seed beads if woven flat - nylon thread or FireLine
  • Metal beads, 1mm - FireLine

Be sure to also see the metal bookmarks that can be embellished with beads.
