Watch with Ribbon and Charms

How to make Jean Jewelry: using the ribbon and clamp components.

STEP 1
Cut a length of ribbon, approximately 2-1/4 inch long.
STEP 2
Add a dab of adhesive along the edge of one end.
STEP 3
Place a ribbon clamp over the ribbon edge and line up the sides. Compress the clamp with flat-nose or chain-nose pliers.
STEP 4
Repeat for the other end.
STEP 5
Using a pair of tweezers, pick up a crystal. Apply a dab of adhesive to the back of the crystal using a toothpick or beading awl.
STEP 6
Place the crystal onto the ribbon. Apply gentle pressure to ensure a good bond.
STEP 7
Repeat Steps 5 - 6, adding crystals to the ribbon in any pattern you'd like.
STEP 8
Place one 3mm bicone crystal, three 4mm bicone crystals, and one 3mm bicone crystal bead onto an eyepin. Place the chain-nose pliers just above the last crystal added and bend the wire to a 90 degree angle. Trim the wire to 1/3 inch. Grip the tips of the cut wire with round-nose pliers, placing the wire about 1/4 inch in from the tip and with very little wire peeking out past the barrels. Rotate the round-nose pliers, forming a loop above the crystals.
STEP 9
Repeat Steps 5 - 8 to create as many dangles that will fit onto your watch-face bar.
STEP 10

Open the top loop of the crystal dangle. Loop it over the bottom bar of the watch face.

Close the loop capturing the bar. Repeat to add all the crystal dangles.
STEP 11
Open the bottom loop of one dangle. Add the loop of one charm; close the dangle loop. Repeat, adding charms to as many dangles as you wish.
STEP 12
Add a jumpring to the loop on the bottom ribbon clamp. Add the top bar of the watch face; close the jumpring. If you'd like, you can add 4-5 jumprings on both sides of the jumpring attached to ribbon-clamp loop. This will fill in any extra space, preventing your watch from sliding around.
STEP 13
Add a jumpring to the loop on the top ribbon clamp. Add a large lobster claw clasp; close the jumpring.
