Where do you live?
Orlando, Florida

Describe your artistic style.
I don't keep stick to any particular style, I prefer fusion. I like when my jewelry reflect my mood, my ideas and my imagination, and for that all styles are good.

What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Nature, travels, local traditions and ornaments, historical movies, art exhibitions and museums. All around me.

What materials do you most enjoy working with?
Now I work with natural gemstones, pearls, crystals and Japanese seed beads and many another good quality beads.

What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story?

What inspired this design?
The flowers are always beautiful, and flowers made of beads never dry and never die.

How did it come together?
Color palette of this beadwork is inspired by Decadence style. Initially I made roses, leaves, and then all the components connected on the beaded base with pearls and various kinds of Czech beads.

Share Your Background

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
It was about seven years ago when I saw a bracelet worn by the girl, it was made of seed beads. I wanted to have the same and started researching and learning beading technique from books and internet. I enjoyed the process so much that since then, I am engaged in beading.

Who introduced you to beading?
I always have been interested in painting and several types of hand craft. Beading was next step in my creativity. I began to look for the information about beading on the Internet and in books and now I am already an expert. I have several publications in magazines and won prizes in beading competitions.

Do you have an artistic background?
I graduated from Fashion College and Art Studio.

How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and BeadsĀ®?
The Internet.

What other hobbies do you have?
I enjoy painting, decoupage, photography and sewing.

Beading Success

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
Beading is my hobby, my business, my career and a good way to make gifts for friends.

If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
I have the online store and page in Facebook www.facebook.com/tatjana.andre.7. Apart from that, I make personalized exclusive jewelry by order. Often I participate in the international competitions. I collaborate with other designers and provide my jewelry for fashion shows.

Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Beading is amazing. If you refer to the history of beads, you will discover that this art developed independently in different countries. Beading is used to make incredibly fabulous things. Try it! You will not regret!

What inspired you to donate your bead(s) to Circle of Hope?

Cancer is very real and personal. I lost my loved ones, because of this illness. However, there are wonderful examples of people surviving this illness, in particular breast cancer. It is a difficult process to deal with alone, but it is becoming easier now with the world coming together to find a cure.
