Silver Medal Prize Winner, 2009 Fire Mountain Gems and Beads Beading Contest
One thing that inspires me as a designer-artist is, after taking dozens of classes by famous teachers, I too, can create a piece of beautiful sparkling jewelry using tiny seed beads. I am still searching for my artistic style, but I know I love freeform/organic designs where I decide what color/bead goes next.
I am most proud of my Bollywood Jewels Necklace, which was selected as a finalist in the 2009 Bead and Button Bead Dreams competition.

I found beading In 2000. ''What a sheltered life I have had,'' I thought, afterwards. People have been beading for hundreds of years and I had just found it. My friend Kathleen showed me an amulet necklace she had beaded and I was immediately interested, and obsessed, I bugged her with numerous questions about it. Being one of the first internet shoppers, I found Fire Mountain Gems and Beads searching for what else but beads! I LOVED their huge catalogs and affordable materials for beading.
I love my 9 to 5 job (working full time, patiently waiting to retire to be able to spend more time beading). But I love beading because I love doing it. I do it because I enjoy it.
Tina was awarded Silver Medal Prize Winner in the Jewelry - Freeform Expression category of the 2009 Fire Mountain Gems and Beads Beading Contest for her design,
