When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
About 20 years ago, I found this seed that looked like a heart and I made a necklace out of it. I still have it to this very day. People ask me what my necklace is made out of, when I tell them, they can't believe it. LOL, it does look very good.
Who introduced you to beading?
No one really. Just looking at other artists' work inspired me to try it.
Do you have an artistic background?
I enjoy drawing and painting.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?
Found it on the internet.
What other hobbies do you have?
Painting, drawing, kite making, model making.
Do you belong to any beading societies or beading groups?
Not at this time, I have been looking.
What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
Really, I do it for fun. I just let my mind go and see what turns out of it. It's a good pastime/hobby and a lot of fun.
If you use jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
I've never tried to sell my jewelry, but I'm thinking of it for more income. I just need to find out how to do so, I do some good work.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Yes. Go with your heart and mind and see where it takes you. You might come out with the piece that everyone wants. That's what I'm after, I feel I'm going to hit that winning piece of jewelry.
