What inspires you as a designer-artist? I find I am inspired most by the components themselves. I often fall in love with a bead and purchase it having no idea what I am going to do with it, but like to play around with the components in various ways until I find something I like.
What medium do you work with mostly? I work primarily with beads and vintage findings, but I have begun recently to explore the world of metal clay. I also like doing wire work.
What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story? Bohemian Owl
What inspired this design? This piece is part of a line that was inspired by a group of colors. The colors feel warm, romantic and very feminine. "All-out girly-ness" would probably be the best description of what I was feeling when this design was created!
How did it come together? I had actually purchased a set of owl charms and pendants from Fire Mountain only wanting to use one piece in particular for a bracelet (also in this collection). I really had no clue what I was going to do with the other pieces in the set, but found inspiration while working on the bracelet and it all just came together.
Why did you become enchanted with this style of jewelry-making? The piece shown is from my vintage collection, but there is still something a little Bohemian about it. I like this style in particular because it combines my love of various styles; it's eclectic and fun.
Where and How do you sell your jewelry? My Etsy store, www.etsy.com/shop/WonderWhimsyWired, and various craft fairs.
