I made a collage of parts from my other works.
How did it come together?
I never make sketches for my work, it is always intuitive.

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
I started beading when I was a child.
Who introduced you to beading?
I cannot say exactly who introduced me. Some things I learned in the classroom work at school, some things from friends and some things out of magazines.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and BeadsĀ®?
All beadworkers know about Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. It is a pity that you do not deliver to Russia.
What other hobbies do you have?
I like knitting and embroidery.
Do you belong to any beading societies or beading groups?
I am a member of an international beading group. This is the Russian-speaking forum of beaders.

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
I am an accountant and beadwork helps me relax after a working day.
If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?

Do you participate in any charity fundraisers?
I made a white rabbit for the project "Alice in Wonderland."
It was a wonderful project, many bead artists teamed up with a noble goal. The entire project was sold at the Bead and Button auction in June 2010. All profits were donated to Bead Artists Against Breast Cancer research.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Searching for inspiration in nature. It is an inexhaustible source. |
