It defined itself as I began working.
Share Your Background
When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
I always had an interest and I took a beading class 13 years ago and I was hooked.
Who introduced you to beading?
A former co-worker of mine.
Do you have an artistic background?
I grew up in New York and wanted to be a fashion illustrator, but it didn't happen and I stopped drawing. Beadwork is a way for me to release.

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
It is a stress reducer for me. It is a part-time hobby.
If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
This is the first contest I have entered. I have sold a few pieces at craft fairs.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Go where your heart leads you and develop your own style.
