What inspires you as a designer-artist?
I am inspired by history and natural elements.

Metal, crystals, and natural gemstones.

OH! My Necklace
What inspired this design?
Gothic and Victorian designs. I wanted something that could be worn to a formal affair, but be comfortable.
How did it come together? For example, did you plan it out or did it define itself once you began working?
It designed itself once it began.
Share Your Background
When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
Four years ago. I started by helping my wife with her jewelry business.
Who introduced you to beading?
My wife. She was a beading instructor for a craft chain and taught me what she knew.
Do you have an artistic background?
Yes, I worked with ceramic arts throughout high school.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®?
Through my wife, Marissa Newman.
What other hobbies do you have?
Rock hunting and knapping.
What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
A part-time career. I find it to be very satisfying. It lifts my spirits.
If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
We sell at craft fairs and home parties.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Always keep growing.
