Where do you live?
Terlton, Oklahoma

Describe your artistic style.
Not sure I have a style, I tend toward Native American and modern.

What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Color and texture.

What materials do you most enjoy working with?
Beads, any kind if beads.

What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story?
Crystal Elegance Necklace

What inspired this design?
Tears, this piece was made during a very hard time in my life.

How did it come together?
No planning, it just made itself.

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
I was in a bad accident and was confined to bed for three years. Beading gave me something to do.

Who introduced you to beading?
My mother bought me some seed beads and a book.

Do you have an artistic background?
No, I am a horse trainer and a welder.

How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and BeadsĀ®?
From an advertisement in a magazine.

What other hobbies do you have?
Horses, cooking and reading.

What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
It keeps me sane and brings in some income.

If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
I used to go to craft shows and do parties, not so much now.

Do you participate in any charity fundraisers?
I make things for the youth in horse shows. Saddle and bridle charms, beaded feathers.

Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Just enjoy yourself.
