Where do you live? Living in Sweden now, but I come from Ireland.
What inspires you as a designer-artist? I am inspired by nature and my Celtic heritage. Growing up in Ireland and as an Irish dancer my mum used to embroider my dance dresses with Celtic designs, which I love dearly. Now many years later I find I try to use these Celtic twists in my designs. I feel very grateful to be able to design, as I have multiple sclerosis and some days can be difficult, but when I create one of my designs I think wow this creation gives me such strength and happiness and it makes me want to shout to the world and say, "Please don't judge others for what they can't do be inspired for what they can do."
What medium do you work with mostly? I work with wire and beads.
Why did you become enchanted with this style of jewelry-making? I just love Celtic Designs. And honestly just being able to twist the wire is so great for my MS so relaxing and so healing for me.
Where and How do you sell your jewelry? From my Facebook page and Etsy
What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story? Dorinas Mistique Dream
What inspired this design? A student teacher asked me to design a piece around her personality for her graduation in Greece.
How did it come together? She chose the gem and I designed it as a three in one for her. She is young so I thought a pendant as one design and the side pieces as a piece for her graduation and the dangle piece as a funky extra for her singing stage shows. So each piece can be worn as separate pieces or all together as one.
