Egyptian Goddess

Meet the Designer-Artist

Where do you live?
Boston, Massachusetts

What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Anything that comes to my mind. I'm a nerd turned model turned back into a nerd, and my jewelry ranges from edgy, to rocker, to elegant--you name it!!

What medium do you work with mostly?
I use a lot of anodized chain in different colors, hence my jewelry line's name, "linkydinxx." I also use a lot of crystal, semiprecious stones, and various findings and connectors.

What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story?
Egyptian Goddess

What inspired this design?
I love anything tribal, and I used a combination of elegant findings with different size and color chains similar to the makeup Cleopatra would've worn. I love earrings that stand out, it brings attention to the face. As a former model myself, I know the importance of a good accessory to make me feel like a queen!!!

How did it come together?
I was enamored by the connectors and knew I had to do something stunning with them. It was frustrating to get the chains to blend the way I wanted, I wanted the fringe to flow and have movement, hence the way it is angled.

Why did you become enchanted with this style of jewelry-making?
When I was pregnant I was too sick to do anything else, so my mother taught me. I love chains, they stand out if they're used properly!

Where and How do you sell your jewelry?
Etsy, models/entertainers/waitresses in the area, and 2 retail stores here will also be carrying my line.
