Describe your artistic style. I like Oriental style and extravagant designs.
What inspires you as a designer-artist? Making beautiful works of art that makes the ladies happy.
What materials do you most enjoy working with? Semi-precious stones, precious stones and Swarovski crystals.
What is the name of the piece you submitted with your success story? Royal Dragon
What inspired this design? Oriental influence.
How did it come together? For example, did you plan it out or did it define itself once you began working? I planned it out first, but it changed several times as I was making the piece.

When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading? Two years ago because a friend needed to make some money to survive.
Who introduced you to beading? Not a beader, but the same friend introduced me to jewelry-making.
Do you have an artistic background? Yes, I have worked with drawing both in pencil and crayon. I have worked with making paper and cardboard models. Nothing for sale.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®? By the catalog sent to my mother.
What other hobbies do you have? Sailing with friends on their boat and singing in a choral society that does classical choral works.
What role does jewelry-making play in your life? It is a full-time career that I am just getting going. When I am working on the jewelry, I feel good.
If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry? I have a website, a Facebook page, and jewelry on consignment at an art studio. I hope to begin going to artisan fairs in 2011.
Do you participate in any charity fundraisers? No, but I sell to my choral society and donate 25% back to them once a year.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists? Just do what you enjoy doing.
