Fire Mountain Gems and Beads Member Organizations
Fire Mountain Gems and Beads is proud to be a member of the following organizations:
American Gem Trade Association
The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) is an association of United States and Canadian natural colored gemstone and cultured pearl industry professionals dedicated to promoting the natural colored gemstone trade.
As a member of AGTA, Fire Mountain Gems and Beads abides by AGTA's Code of Ethics, which is an even higher standard than the Federal Trade Commission's Guides for the Jewelry Industry on disclosing colored gemstone enhancements. Working with an AGTA Member is like having a gemstone consultant at your fingertips.
Fire Mountain Gems and Beads discloses all enhancements of gems we sell (with the exception of normal cutting and polishing). We also disclose the method of enhancement, if known.
The Data and Marketing Association
The Data and Marketing Association (formerly the Direct Marketing Association) is the community that champions deeper consumer engagement and business value through the innovative and responsible use of data-driven marketing.
DMA advocates industry standards for responsible marketing, promotes relevance as the key to reaching consumers with desirable offers, and provides cutting-edge research, education, and networking opportunities to improve results throughout the entire direct marketing process. Founded in 1917, DMA today has more than 3,600 members from the US and 46 other nations, including the majority of companies listed on the Fortune 100.
Association For Creative Industries
In early 2004, the two most successful organizations serving the craft and hobby industry, the Hobby Industry Association (HIA) and the Association of Crafts and Creative Industries (ACCI), joined together to form the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA). For the next twelve years, CHA would lead the arts and crafts industry in producing trade events and delivering research, education and community. In 2016, CHA undertook a study to evaluate the needs of its Members. Rebranding the CHA to now Association For Creative Industries (AFCI) is an opportunity to evolve with changing creative and business environments. As the AFCI website says, "AFCI's vision is to lead a forward-thinking and vibrant business community where creative arts professionals can learn, connect, discover and succeed."
