The capital letters above are the bead key identifiers, which are referenced throughout the instructions.
Make a full-size design of the necklace, using Picture 1 as a guide. Transfer the design to fabric. Glue a cabochon in the marked place.
Sew the basic row in even number of D (Fig.1).
Work the bezel in circular peyote stitch, using D (Fig.2). The number of the rows depends on the thickness of your cabochon. Work the last row in G. Go through the last row more than once, pulling the thread taut.
Work one row in C around the necklace base (Fig.1).
Work the smallest leaves for the necklace, using C, H (Fig.3). Each side of the leaf consists of three upper corners, not counting the central one. Work about 30 leaves more in the same way. Sew them to the necklace base, having started from the edge to the middle, about 1/3 distance of the necklace base from cabochon to the edge. Sew the leaves symmetrically to both sides.
Work 39 - 40 leaves (Fig.4). Each side of the leaf consists of four upper corners. Sew them in the same way.
Work 16 - 20 leaves more. Each side of the leaf consists of 5 and 6 upper corners (Fig.4). Sew the leaves to the cabochon, filling the space of the base.
Bead the largest bottom leaf, using C, H, I (Fig.5). Sew this leaf to the bottom part of the necklace base. Bead an even number of the leaves. Each side of the leaf consists of 6, 5 upper corners, not counting the central one. Sew the leaves symmetrically and as close to the cabochon as possible. Sew three leaves at the top, using C, I, H. Each side of the leaf, consisting of four upper corners.
Attach the leaves to the necklace base, using strings of G and J bicones (see the photograph).
Trim away all the excess fabric as close to the edge row beads as possible. Glue leather to the back side. Work the basic edge row in F (Fig.6).
Glue B cabochon to the separate piece of fabric and embroider in the same way (see Steps 2 - 10). Trim away all the excess fabric. Glue leather to the back side. Let the glue dry and trim away all the excess leather. Work the basic edge row in E (Fig.6).
Work two loops at the top part of the cabochon, using D, G. Attach the halves of a clasp through them.
Attach the other halves of the clasp to the necklace base, using metal jumprings.
