Use the colors of awareness in your jewelry designs to support a cause or issue that's important to you. Many groups have adopted colored ribbons as symbols of support, such as the popular pink ribbon for the fight against breast cancer. However, some colors, such as turquoise and orange, have less common meanings, and many other colors represent multiple causes.

Here's an easy guide to deciphering the meaning behind the colors of awareness ribbons with product suggestions for you to design your own awareness jewelry using SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.

''The 'Awareness Ribbon - Color and Cause Guide' is simply the best! Now I have a one-stop reference guide to create awareness bracelets for myself and others. Thank you for this wonderful resource."
- Judith

"Great resource. I make and sell a lot of awareness jewelry and will use this."
- Marsha

"Hi! On the Awareness ribbons color and cause guide, a yellow ribbon also stands for deployed military. I am the wife of a United States Air Force member and we use the yellow ribbons when our spouses are deployed to war.

Thank you."
- Naomi

"Thank you so much for the Awareness Ribbons Color and Cause Guide. My son is recently diagnosed with Crohn's, and this chart will help with my search for the appropriate colors for beaded bracelets."
- Nancy

"Hi,

The awareness chart was great, thank you for having it. It would have been better in PDF form though so I could save it rather than print it out.

Thank you"
- Suzy

"Your info on the color of the ribbons is really great. Good for fund raising. Please add colors if you learn of any new ones.

Thanks,"
- Norma

"I opened today's e-mail excited about your new awareness ribbon beads and the link to meanings, excited to order some for the group that suffers from Vasculitis Disease. Sadly you have not listed Vasculitis (Wegener's Granulomatosis is what my sister suffers) under the red ribbon section. I hope that you will consider adding it as hundreds of thousands of people suffer this debilitating disease world-wide.

Thank you"
- Minda

"THANK YOU for pulling all the awareness ribbon color information together in one place!! I've often wanted to design a piece for a friend or family member dealing with a specific situation but wasn't sure what color was representative of the condition. I appreciate the way you always make jewelry making easier!!"
- Jyl

"Hey this was fabulous....very inspiring indeed ......."
- Rashmiduttani

"You asked for feedback on the ribbon color guide. It's FANTASTIC!!!! It's because of handy guides like this and similar that I keep a folder of "Fire Mountain Reference." I'm the opposite of a packrat -- I throw almost everything away. But not your stuff. I can't tell you how helpful this guide is, because I DO make cause bracelets, usually at the request of a customer. I never know what color to use (besides pink, of course) and usually the customer doesn't either. I just can't thank you enough for the time and effort it took to put this guide together -- and for offering it free of charge. There are plenty of places that might OFFER it, but would do so for a price. You guys are the best!"
- Karen

"Those of us with Lyme disease have long been using the green ribbon to indicate Lyme. I wonder if you'll hear from others."
- Paula

"Thank you so much for the Color and Cause Guide. My granddaughter (who is the light of my life) was just diagnosed with AML and is already on her treatments. I wanted to make bracelets to raise some money but wasn't really sure what color besides orange. With your help now, I can start making my bracelets. Thank you so much."
- Regina

"Oh my goodness, there are a lot of ribbons and causes. We should all be wearing a chestful! Thank you for that comprehensive list; I've never seen one like it before. It's a great reference tool!"
- Lisa

"Thank you for the ribbon chart. I had no idea so many causes are represented by ribbons and that one color may stand for many causes. I love the puzzle one for autism - so fitting. I feel I need a muti-color ribbon to represent all my issues!

I love getting your newsletters and flyers, though I'm not always able to purchase. Thank you."
- Donna

"How wonderful that someone finally thought to put all those "colored ribbons" together and give us the insight about what each of them symbolizes.....just the greatest!!!

Mahalo!!! (Thank you from Hawaii!!!!!)"
- Jenny

"I want to express my appreciation for your "Ribbon Color Chart". I have seen several ribbon color charts, but this one was the most thorough and the most comprehensive, I have EVER seen. I do a lot of making and sending of angels to people in need of a little extra support. Those dealing with cancer, I have special angels holding a ribbon. Now, I know I can use the correct color! I can also add a beaded edge to it if I wish. So thank you so very much!"
