Jasper, Red Gemstone Properties
Bold red jasper-you can't ignore it. Unlike most jasper which is a heavily banded variety of chalcedony, brick red jasper is almost one pure color. That color is red: the color of fire, the color of passion, the color of bold, unmitigated determination. Red jasper has long been highly popular for men's jewelry, but women love it, too--especially now that red, at long last, is again in fashion. For a dazzling duo, mix red jasper beads with round silver beads spaced between them. (I recommend four-six red jasper beads then one silver bead, repeating the pattern over and over. Make at least four strands.) Then twist them together. You'll have a multiple strand necklace that truly is dynamite!
Warning: You can't wear this necklace just anywhere. People may walk into walls or step off curbs into oncoming traffic when they turn to look at you. Reserve this scintillatingly sophisticated necklace for special occasions and special people where being the center of attention won't endanger the lives of others.
Red jasper has been used as a stone of protection for thousands of years. Part of the reason is its ability to create and help balance aggressive, dynamic energy. Its spiritual values are those found in ancient female warriors-a perfect balance between beauty and bold, confident power, a power you can feel when you wear it.
